AFFILIATE MEETINGS & EVENTS

Affiliate Meetings and Events are any events that are requested to take place in conjunction with the Brownfields Conference that are not part of the core educational programming. There is no additional fee to attend any of these events, though some require pre-registration or an invitation.

US EPA Region 1 Open House
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Omni OK Station 3
Convene all Region 1 conference attendees to discuss the current status and highlight the regional successes. This will be a networking event for regional attendees.

US EPA Region 2 Open House
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Omni Bricktown Room
The purpose of the meeting is to have a ceremony event with Region 2 EPA employee and grantees to highlight some of the Brownfields Program successful projects.

US EPA Region 3 Open House
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Omni OK Station 1
Grantees, state agencies and interested parties will participate in the Open House.

US EPA Region 4 Open House
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Omni Pinon Room
The Open House will provide the opportunity for attendees from the eight states and six tribal communities located in EPA Region 4 to meet EPA management and staff, State and Tribal partners, and other regional stakeholders. The Open House will also highlight grantee accomplishments from around the region.

US EPA Region 5 Open House, By invitation

The Open House serves as an opportunity for attendees located in the Great Lakes Region to meet EPA management and staff, State and Tribal partners, and other regional stakeholders. During the event, Region 5 will acknowledge accomplishments of regional grantees through noteworthy projects.

US EPA Region 6 Open House, By invitation

Region 6 is planning to recognize staff for outstanding service and new grantees. We will be introducing new personnel and recognizing the outstanding Brownfields Redevelopment activities in Oklahoma City

EPA Region 7 welcomes guests from Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Nine Tribal Nations.

US EPA Region 8 Open House

An open house for EPA Region 8 employees, grantees, and friends. Come meet your counterparts, share your successes and failures, and most of all, have a good time. EPA Region 8 includes the states of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

US EPA Region 9 Open House

Join Region 9’s Open House to meet EPA Region 9 staff, grantees and partners. The Open House will provide an informal opportunity to network, share your successes and highlight our shared accomplishments. EPA Region 9 includes the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, US Territories, American Samoa, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Guam and 148 federally recognized Tribes.

The Open House will provide the opportunity for attendees from the 4 States and 271 Tribes located in EPA Region 10 to meet EPA management and staff as well as each other. We will also highlight some noteworthy brownfield projects throughout the region.

for Assessment, RLF, Cleanup, Multipurpose and Section 128(a) grant recipients just starting to use ACRES, this training will provide a complete overview of the database. Specifically, it will cover how to enter your property data information and submit it to your EPA Project Officer.

ACRES Training |Advanced ACRES: Tips for Experienced Users

For Assessment, RLF, Cleanup, Multipurpose and Section 128(a) grantees that are familiar with the basics of ACRES, this training will provide tools and tips on how to make ACRES work for you and your varying property scenarios. The training will also cover commonly asked questions and frequent mistakes by users.

ACRES Training |ACRES EPA Project Officer Training
12:45 PM – 1:45 PM, ROOM 104
With the launch of two new reporting modules for technical assistance, and new additions to the Property Profile Form, there are a lot of changes in ACRES for EPA Brownfields Program staff to get acquainted with. This training will be geared specifically to the needs of EPA Brownfields Program project officers, with specific focus on the reporting tools available to them.

Section 128(a) EPA Regional Program Officers Meeting, By invitation

This is a meeting for the EPA HQ and regional Pos that implement the CERCLA Section 128(a) grant funding program.

Michigan Brownfield Stakeholder Meeting, By invitation

This meeting is open to all Michigan attendees. The purpose is for Michigan stakeholders and Michigan EGLE Brownfield staff to discuss program updates, processes, concerns, and potential improvements that could make the program work more efficiently.

ACRES Training |Job Training Grantee Focus Session

This session is designed to be an open question and answer for job training grantees. Team ACRES will highlight the basics of the required reporting forms in ACRES but leave much of the session time to answer questions from users.

The purpose of this meeting is to meet with organizations looking to learn more about our Brownfields program and technical assistance.

ACRES Training |What’s New with ACRES: Major 2022 Updates

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) of 2021 awarded the Brownfields Program an additional $1.5 billion in funding. The large influx of funding will allow the Program to enhance the ACRES database with new tracking and reporting capabilities. Specifically, the database will now track the Program’s technical assistance activities and include mechanisms to track progress on Justice40 and climate change initiatives. Come hear about these changes and more!

ASTSWMO Brownfields Focus Group: States Roundtable, By invitation

This meeting will be an opportunity for State Brownfields members to learn more about ASTSWMO and what the Brownfields Focus Group does, discuss State specific topics and network with colleagues

US Environmental Protection Agency Superfund Redevelopment Program

Informal meet and greet for attendees to mingle with U.S. EPA staff and learn about the available support, tools and resources, including liability protections, to support returning Superfund sites back to beneficial community use.

Justice40 Stakeholder Engagement Meeting

To share information about the NIEHS Worker Training Program’s Environmental Career Worker Training Program (ECWTP) and their experiences as a Justice40 pilot. To gain input from stakeholders regarding the program. This will be followed by a meeting specifically for NIEHS ECWTP grantees.

Catalyzed by community leaders burdened by pollution, disease, poverty and crime, and strengthened by government, business and academia, B2H fosters family whole health (mental and physical) by addressing environmental stressors, basic needs, and safety.
